Hello, I am Mande. I have 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I love working with individuals helping them to meet their best version of themselves and their life. Do you ever feel alone, as if no one understands how challenging life can be? Does it feel like everyone else has it figured out? Is it confusing how they are managing life challenges? I would love to have the opportunity to help connect and express yourself. I find it helpful to look at life outside of social media and look at the reality of life and its challenges. There are many skills that are helpful in regulating your nervous system, challenging negative beliefs and increasing self-care.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session together, we'll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenges you are facing. This will help us create a tailored plan to work through in follow-up sessions.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, (CBT) which is used to help individuals recognize and challenging thinking patterns. I often use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to assist in gaining the needed skills in various areas of one's life; The present, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationship skills. I have experience utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), which assisted individuals in processing traumatic experiences, strengthen positive adaptive beliefs and decrease negative core beliefs.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strength is compassion, understanding, and empathy. I have had many years of experience in community mental health, child welfare and private practice.
