About me

As a Navy veteran, mom of four, and therapist with over 14 years of experience, I understand the weight of responsibility, the exhaustion of caregiving, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going when life feels overwhelming. I’ve lived through the chaos, the transitions, and the moments of doubt, and I bring that lived empathy into every session. My work is grounded in attachment theory and trauma-informed care, helping you make sense of your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and heal in a space that feels safe, attuned, and deeply supportive. Whether you're navigating burnout, relational wounds, or the long arc of trauma recovery, I’m here to walk alongside you with clarity, compassion, and unwavering respect for your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is about creating a foundation of safety, clarity, and collaboration. I’ll walk you through informed consent, explaining confidentiality, your rights as a client, and how therapy works—so you feel empowered and informed from the start. We’ll spend time getting to know you: your story, your current challenges, and what you’re hoping to shift or heal. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand how trauma, relationships, and life experiences have shaped how you navigate the world. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and explore how I can support your healing journey using an attachment-based approach. This session isn’t about rushing into solutions; it’s about building trust, honoring your pace, and making sure you feel seen, heard, and supported.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength is creating a safe, supportive space where you feel truly seen and understood. I look beyond symptoms to uncover the deeper needs driving your experiences. Drawing on over 14 years of education, training, and lived experience, I help you make sense of your story, reconnect with yourself, and move toward healing with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I serve individuals who are seeking to understand themselves more deeply, make sense of their relationships, and heal from the impact of trauma. I bring grounded, compassionate support to those navigating life’s complexities. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, I offer a safe space to explore, rebuild, and move forward with clarity and resilience.

My treatment methods

Attachment-based

As an attachment therapist, I look to understand clients’ relational patterns, emotional regulation, and core beliefs about self and others. Trauma occurs in relationships, so healing must also happen through safe, supportive, and attuned relationships that offer corrective emotional experiences.

EMDR

As an EMDRIA certified therapist and from an attachment-focused, combines trauma processing with relational healing. It uses the therapist-client alliance as a secure base, helping clients reprocess early attachment wounds while building new experiences of safety, trust, and connection.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) supports attachment healing by teaching clients how to regulate emotions, tolerate distress, and build stable relationships, skills often disrupted by early relational trauma. Through consistent structure and therapist attunement, DBT offers a corrective relational experience that helps clients shift from reactive patterns to secure, mindful connection.

Play Therapy

Using play therapy to explore emotions, build trust, and repair early relational wounds. Through symbolic play, children express unmet needs, fears, and attachment patterns that may be difficult to verbalize. Being able to respond with attunement, consistency, and emotional safety, offering a corrective relational experience that fosters secure attachment and emotional regulation.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) is an attachment-based treatment that strengthens the parent-child relationship as a pathway to healing trauma. It helps caregivers and children (typically ages 0–5) co-process difficult experiences through play, storytelling, and emotional attunement. I support parents in becoming a consistent, nurturing presence, which fosters safety, regulation, and secure attachment for the child.
