I'm a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I mainly manage psychiatric medications and diagnose. I've worked community mental health for 3 years, seeing a wide variety of patients. I have 5 years of experiencing working inpatient psychiatry as an RN. I'm here to focus on you, keeping things real and centered around your needs. When we create a treatment plan together, your goals and expectations are my priority. We'll also discuss your lifestyle to see if anything else might be influencing your symptoms. My style is calm and laid-back. Visits are relatively easy going.
Going over a history of your symptoms. We will discuss your living situation, past treatment, how you are currently doing. I'll give you a couple of medication options and go over the main possible side effects and in general what to expect.
Listening. Having a psych background before working as a nurse practitioner. I try to give my patients as much information as possible within reason.
I like working with young people. I find it enjoyable helping them get started with good habits that will help them be successful in life. In general I enjoy working with those that are willing to change or try new things to improve their mental health.
