I believe all people can grow, learn, and make positive changes at any stage in life. My specializations include anxiety, depression, life transitions, behavioral issues, self-esteem and crisis management. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults. My pre and post-graduate experience includes working with individuals, families, psychoeducation, and neuropsychological testing administration. My clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings has encouraged my philosophy of being flexible to each client based on their experiences and needs. My goal is to assist clients in establishing their independence and confidence to move forward in any life phase. I desire to continue practicing in progressive and innovative ways, making my client’s goals of the utmost importance. I am passionate about collaborating with clients; assisting and supporting them on their journeys.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I like to treat our first session as a get to know you period. Feel free to ask any and all questions you have about me, my strategies and the counseling process. I will use this time to gain knowledge about you now and some of your history. This is a great time to start to figure out if we are a good fit for each other as counselor and client.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I strive to share a space with clients that feels safe, non-judgemental and comforting. Through this, I work with clients to explore their emotions, thoughts and core beliefs. This exploration leads to positive and long-lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Clients dealing with high stress, trauma, anxiety and depression. I am accepting of clients in a multitude of life stages.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts, rather than external events, cause our feelings and behaviors. Therefore, negative patterns of thinking can trap individuals in harmful behavioral cycles. A key aspect of CBT is identifying automatic negative thoughts that contribute to emotional distress. : Once negative thoughts are identified, the therapist and client work together to challenge their validity and replace them with more balanced and realistic thoughts.

I’ve actually seen Lauren for about 5 years. I followed her from practice to practice. I enjoy her sessions. She always has practical/useful strategies and will always call you out on bad habits. She’s 1000% made me a better person.
