After working in community mental health for more than four years I understand that there are so many different and unique aspects to wellness. First, I will listen. Next, we will work together to support you, whether it means talking through a big decision, starting or maintaining employment, working towards educational goals, finding good relationships, or helping to thrive in any other area of life.

I would like to get to know you as an individual and what your own goals are. Our sessions will be personalized to your needs and the work we do will be proactive and focused on providing you with the skills and resources to overcome obstacles and live the life you want for yourself. I take into account your psychological, social, physical, cultural, and spiritual preferences and needs.

I have a strong background in helping people find fulfillment and contentment in their lives and environments, such as within their own lives, their jobs, families, and within their broader communities and cultures.

I have spent several years working with adults with severe mental illness including, schizophrenia, bipolar I and bipolar II disorder, and the three personality disorder clusters. I also specialize in helping people who struggle with isolation and community engagement. I also work with families, couples, and groups.

Emotionally focused individual therapy takes a humanistic approach to therapy. As a certified EFIT therapist I'm able to work with you to review the foundations of thoughts and behaviors and make changes that allow you to have a more secure and comfortable sense of self.
