Passionate about mental health advocacy in the Black community, Lauren focuses on creating safe spaces for teen girls. She founded Packer Counseling, LLC in Hoover, Alabama in 2022 to provide compassionate, culturally competent care. Her approach helps clients explore their thoughts and feelings, embrace change, and celebrate progress over perfection.
The first session serves as an introduction to the therapy journey and an opportunity to begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. It offers a welcoming space for the client to share their story, explore their goals, and start creating a foundation of trust, safety, and collaboration.
As a therapist, I provide authentic, genuine, culturally competent, and relatable care. Every session is rooted in compassion and respect for who you are. No matter where you are on your journey, there is always room for growth, healing, and progress.
Ideal clients are tweens, teens, adolescents, and young adults ready to grow into their best version. Whether navigating school stress, identity, relationships, or major life changes, they are open to doing the inner work it takes to heal, build confidence, and thrive. These young individuals are resilient, curious, and seeking a safe, supportive space to feel seen, heard, and empowered.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered Therapy as the foundational approaches in all sessions. My work is guided by a deep respect for each client’s individuality, and I prioritize cultural competency to ensure that therapy is both personalized and inclusive of each client's unique background, values, and lived experiences.
