New to Grow
I am an LCSW with 7 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with a wide range of populations from children to the elderly. I was drawn to the field of mental health after studying social work and desiring to make an impact in my community. Throughout my experience working in a domestic violence shelter, a community mental health center, an alternative therapeutic girls school, and a group therapy practice, I was able to develop a great sense of empathy and understanding about how the mind both hurts and heals and the importance of individualized and compassionate care. It is a great honor to witness my clients' growth and resilience as they embark on their healing journeys. I believe all people deserve to live a life of dignity, joy, and peace, achieved through prioritizing their mental wellbeing.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our intake, I will review the therapeutic process, discuss confidentiality and HIPPA, and begin working with you on a plan to improve your mental health. We will review your presenting concerns and talk about setting goals (and it's okay if you don't have any yet). You will have an opportunity to ask questions about therapy and share any feedback. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling lighter and with a renewed sense of hope, which is also how you will know you are making progress.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am honest and offer an authentic perspective and feedback when appropriate. I will challenge the parts of you that keep you stuck while empowering you to be your greatest self. I take great pride in this work and helping my clients thrive. If this style resonates with you, let's get connected and start the work.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with adults throughout the lifespan, specializing in trauma, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and treating women. I offer you a space to be heard and process your emotions and experiences to help you gain greater agency over your life. As a Latina, I am particularly attuned to issues affecting the Latino community and am committed to reducing the stigma around seeking mental health support.
