New to Grow
Hi there and welcome! My name is Vanessa Almodovar, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas with 15 years of professional experience, about 5 of those directly in therapy. I deeply believe that healing and restoration is possible in our lives and that we are more than our circumstances. Life can become overwhelming sometimes; but with support, encouragement, and guidance, it is possible to see growth and life change. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can share at your own pace.
Every individual is unique, so a tailored approach is needed for each person. First session, I will gather some basic information and listen to your story. Once we decide to work together, we will collaborate to identify your personal goals in therapy and how to achieve them. After our first session, we'll start moving towards each mental health goal by learning new tools and practicing them together.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and gently challenging. I integrate several therapeutic approaches to help clients understand their triggers, respond differently to stress, and reduce anxiety over time. I believe healing is a journey that looks different for everyone. While it can be challenging at times, those moments often become opportunities for growth and life-changing insight. I deeply believe that healing and restoration are possible, and that you are more than your circumstances. If you are ready to learn new tools and take one small step in your journey toward healing, I would love to walk alongside you and help you to achieve your goals!
Struggling with anxiety, stress, or the lingering impact of difficult experiences can leave you feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward. You may notice patterns that keep repeating, even when you’re doing your best to cope. I work with adults who want to better understand how their experiences have shaped them and who are ready to find a sense of safety, emotional steadiness, and confidence in how to move forward.
