I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with 8 years of experience working as a counselor. I have worked with clients with a range of presenting concerns including depression, anxiety, substance use, parenting struggles, and general relationship problems. I have experience working with adults and children ages 5-17. My therapeutic style is a blend of cognitive-behavior and psychodynamic theory, and I am proficient with cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and interpersonal psychotherapy. My job as a clinician is to tailor our sessions to what you need. I’m excited you’re taking steps towards change and am looking forward to our work together!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will primarily focus on discussing what's brought you into seeking talk therapy, and identifying an outline for treatment goals. As we progress, the goals we set can be adjusted as needed. A strong benefit of talk therapy is that it is incredibly versatile. You might find some days you're looking for direct feedback, and other days you may need more process-focused attention.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I am well educated and practiced with CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). While these modalities have district difference, they both place significance on examining the relationship/influence of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and have emphasis on improving emotional regulation. I find these modalities to be immediately helpful to clients and is a strong focus early in treatment. Psychodynamic therapy focuses on helping you increase your understanding of feelings that you're not completely aware of. Often times these feelings contribute to repetitive patterns of behavior that frustrate us. I've found a blend between these modalities has lead to positive outcomes for clients.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My job as a clinician is to tailor our sessions to what you need. That being said, I do have areas where I have more experience compared to others. I've had years of experience working with parents and children, providing treatment for clients with depression and anxiety, and assertiveness training.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I'm focused on working with parents, young professionals, and people going through significant life changes or grief.
