I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia with 10+ years of experience in a variety of mental healthcare settings. I am passionate about meeting people where they are in their journey and I count it a privilege to come alongside clients to support them in their goals. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where each person feels genuinely cared for, heard, and equipped to move towards growth and healing. I have training in integrating Christian faith into counseling for those who wish to, though I welcome clients of all faith backgrounds. I also have training utilizing Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to aid in trauma recovery.
My goal in the first session is to make sure it is a mutually good fit and that you feel confident in our work going forward. We will spend time getting to know one another and reviewing what to expect in counseling. We will then explore your hopes/goals in counseling in order to identify our next steps together.
I strive to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable to be themselves. I have significant experience working with people addressing mood issues, trauma, life transitions, grief, family conflict, and parenting issues.
I greatly enjoy helping clients develop insight into ongoing patterns exacerbating issues such as depression, family conflict, and anxiety and aiding them to develop skills to help alleviate these issues.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I utilize CBT techniques to aid in identifying negative thought patterns that can contribute to depression, anxiety, and challenging behavioral patterns.
Christian Counseling
I have extensive training and experience integrating Christian faith into counseling. Our spiritual lives can have a significant impact on our mental health and I love to incorporate faith-based resources and conversations into counseling.
EMDR
I am training in incorporating Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to aid in reprocessing traumatic memories, which can aid in daily regulation and coping.
