Dana Jay
Healing and personal growth can feel overwhelming at times, especially when navigating stress, trauma, anxiety, or difficult life experiences. I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology and have over six years of clinical experience supporting adults as they work toward greater clarity, balance, and emotional well-being. I am trained in EMDR therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process distressing experiences and build resilience. My goal is to provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered in your healing journey.
First session
In your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. Together, we’ll explore your current challenges, discuss your goals for therapy, and identify areas you would like to work on. I’ll also explain how EMDR and somatic therapy may support your healing process. My hope is that you leave the session feeling heard, supported, and more confident about the path forward.
Strengths
My therapeutic approach combines EMDR and somatic therapy to help clients heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional overwhelm. I focus on creating safety and regulation within the nervous system, rather than only talking through problems. This approach helps clients build greater emotional awareness, resilience, and a sense of control in their lives. Clients often appreciate my calm, compassionate presence and collaborative style. I strive to create an environment where individuals feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered as they work toward healing and personal growth.
Ideal clients
I’m best positioned to support adults navigating PTSD, trauma, anxiety, and identity exploration. Many of my clients are working to better understand themselves while healing from painful past experiences, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. I work well with individuals seeking emotional healing, self-awareness, healthier coping skills, and a stronger sense of confidence and safety within themselves. My ideal clients are motivated to grow, process difficult emotions, and build more meaningful, balanced, and fulfilling lives.
Treatment methods
EMDR
I combine EMDR with somatic therapy to help people heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional overwhelm. We focus on creating safety and regulation in the body and nervous system first, rather than only talking through problems. EMDR then helps your brain reprocess painful memories, so they stop triggering overwhelming reactions. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, guiding you toward greater calm, resilience, and a sense of control over your life.
