New to Grow
Hello, my name is Monique Boyd, LCSW-C, and I am the founder of Garden of Introspection, LLC. I provide compassionate, client-centered mental health services to individuals seeking support with healing, personal growth, and emotional well-being. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can gain insight, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. I am a compassionate therapist offering a safe, supportive space for healing and growth.
During your first session we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brings you to therapy. I will ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals so I can better understand your unique experiences. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, learn about my approach to therapy, and determine whether we are a good fit. My goal is to provide a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected and supported from the very beginning.
At Garden of Introspection, I provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where healing and personal growth can flourish. I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, and difficulties with self-esteem. Using a client-centered, strength-based approach, I tailor each treatment plan to your unique needs and goals. Together, we will identify barriers to your well-being, develop effective coping strategies, deepen self-awareness, and build the resilience needed to create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to empower you to cultivate insight, restore balance and live a more fulfilling life.
My ideal client is someone who feels ready to reconnect with themselves, gain clarity, and make meaningful changes in their life. They may be navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-doubt, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands placed on them. They are seeking a safe, supportive space where they can be heard, understood, and encouraged without judgment. They are open to exploring their experiences, gaining insight into their emotions and patterns, and developing tools to create more balance, confidence, and fulfillment in their lives.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a tool to help clients cultivate greater awareness of their inner world. by exploring the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviors, we can begin to understand patterns that may be creating distress or limiting personal growth. My approach to CBT is collaborative and individualized, helping clients gently examine their perspectives, challenge thoughts that no longer serve them and develop healthier coping strategies. The goal is to support clients in creating a more balanced relationship with themselves while building the skills needed to navigate life with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compasion.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a collaborative approach to help client reconnect with their own inner wisdom, values and strengths. Rather than directing change, I create a supportive space where clients can explore what matters most to them, recognize barriers, and discover their own motivation for moving forward. By using empathy, curiosity, and intentional reflection, I help clients build confidence, increase self-awareness, and take meaningful steps toward the changes they want to create. This approach honors each person's unique journey and supports lasting growth that feels authentic and self-directed.
I use a psychodynamic approach to support clients in looking beneath the surface and developing a deeper understanding of themselves. By exploring past experiences, relationships, emotions, and patterns that have developed over time, we can uncover connections between your history and the challenges you may be experiencing today. My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and self-discovery. Together, we create space to explore your inner world, increase self-awareness, and better understand the experiences that have shaped you. Through this process, clients can begin to create new perspectives, strengthen their sense of self, and move toward more intentional and fulfilling ways of living.
I use psychoeducation as a way to help clients deepen their understanding of themselves and their experiences. Through education and exploration, clients learn how emotions, thoughts, behaviors, relationships and past experiences can influence the way they move through the world. By increasing awareness and providing practical tools, I help clients make sense of their experiences, recognize patterns, and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges. Psychoeducation supports the therapeutic process by helping clients feel more informed, empowered, and equipped to make intentional changes in their lives.
I incorporate strength-based approach by helping clients discover and nurture the strengths, values, and resilience that already exist with them. Therapy is not about defining clients by their struggles; it is about creating space to recognize their growth, courage, and capacity for change. Through curiosity, reflection, and collaboration, I help clients reconnect with their inner resources, build confidence, and develop a deeper appreciation for their own abilities. By focusing on strengths as well as challenges, clients can cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and more empowered relationship with themselves.
