About me

Hello! I'm Alesia, a licensed mental health counselor who sees individuals, couples and families. I've recognized many people are suffering in silence. If you're one of them, I want to advocate for you by teaching you how to regulate your emotions, create a more positive mental space and increase your self-esteem in the process. I became a counselor because I found excitement and fascination in understanding why people do what they do. Adding to my ability to provide that perspective in a clinical setting, I'm fulfilling my goal of positively impacting the world. If you're ready to actively change your mental, emotional, and honestly behavioral state, I'm here to help.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is the intake where I get to ask questions and understand why you're seeking therapy. The second session is when the real therapy happens.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

I believe people who like themselves are more likely to put in additional effort to maintain a specific desire. That is why I also love to include self-care tips and homework assignments. Clients had some pushback initially with my homework but over time learned to understand the method of my madness.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I'm an eclectic therapist: I tailor sessions to what my client(s) need. Examples include CBT, DBT, solution-focused, mindfulness, stress management, Gottman and family systems. I feel at home challenging and replacing negative thoughts, providing psycho-education on new material and its value to you, and showing clients their strengths that have been overlooked.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Adult clients with anxiety, depression, adjustment, stress-management, relational concerns, PTSD, low self-esteem, poor time management skills, grief/loss.

Very calm and well spoken. great listener and offers direct ways to cope and ways to get through things. Gives homework in order to make sure that the coping skills are actually practiced. Asks thoughtful questions that help to open up the conversation. So far a great experience.

Alesia has been incredible my therapy journey. I have tried therapy in the past, and never found much value in it, therefore didn't stick with it. Now having been with Alesia for over a year, I realize how much the right provider can make a difference. I value the way that she communicates directly, but warmly, and helps me to find solutions and tangible things to work on. I truly can't say enough great things about her.
