In a society that encourages us to disconnect from oursevles, it can be difficult to tap into who we are and what we truly need to be happy in life. My favorite part about being a healer/wellness worker is helping people access that. I work with clients from a multitude of different ethnicities, neurodiversities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and lived experiences. I like to approach sessions with an eclectic and intuitive use of techniques and theories. My most common and natural approach to helping my clients is with the use of trauma-informed, transpersonal, systemic, multicultural, and emotionally-focused care practices. However, approaches are based on your individual needs and goals, and will always focus on helping you discover your most authentic self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

On your path to healing and self-actualization, we will work on your personalized goals, but we will also: •Share laughs and spend time connecting as people • Address stressors and identify patterns in your daily life such as with work/school, relationships, etc. • Explore your identity and belief systems • Practice self-validation and personal empowerment • Unpack individual, inter-generational, societal, and cultural traumas, and explore how those experiences impact you • Practice ways to slow down and be present in your day to day life • Explore if there is an underlying neurodivergence that explains how you observe and interact with the world • Learn to challenge societal norms and traditional constructs that may be out of alignment with the authentic you (including norms/concepts that exist in traditional, Western therapy) • Practice accepting areas of yourself and your life that you cannot change while learning how to implement healthy control over things you can change • Assess how systems of oppression impact/have impacted you and develop understanding on how those systems contribute to your individual stressors or issues • Practice self-observation, self-curiosity, and self-compassion • Work towards living a more conscious life by developing insight and self-awareness • Explore tools to healthy Mind-Body-Soul connection • Develop sacred self-care practices

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to connect with clients in ways that are both safe and personable, while also providing space for clients to practice existing, expressing, and exploring themselves in their wholeness.

My treatment methods

Transpersonal

No matter what aspect of your life we are focusing on, my underlying aim will always be helping you to identify, understand, and integrate all parts of yourself. Working with me means our therapeutic journey will be filled with self-discovery of who you are mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, socially, creatively, and intellectually.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Understanding our emotions is paramount to understanding ourselves and our needs. I am not the therapist to look to if you are looking to escape reality or suppress your emotions - if you work with me, I’m gonna get you in your feelings! I enjoy teaching my clients how to build relationship with their emotions by helping them to identify emotions, feel into and sit with emotions, and explore healthy and beneficial ways to nurture and express emotions.

Trauma Informed Care

We live in a complex world where we are met with tons of complex experiences. My number one goal as a therapist is providing you with a safe, well-integrated, and non-judgmental space to land. Within that space, we will begin learning and acknowledging how your personal experiences effect/have effected you, as well as ways to heal from those experiences.

Somatic

We often discount how intelligent and communicative our physical bodies are, as well as how they interact with our mind, heart, and spirit. Our bodies hold memories, emotions, and sacred knowledge, and they can tell us a lot about our most innate needs. With use of Mindfulness-Somatic approaches, we will explore ways to fully observe and integrate your physical body into your healing experience in order to understand your needs, soothe stress responses, and improve nervous system functioning.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Understanding cultural struggles and intersectionality is a crucial part of providing safe and responsible support and advocacy for people, which is our primary job as therapists. As someone who holds multiple marginalized identities myself, I enjoy opportunities to provide affirmative, culturally-informed, and interconnected care to fellow marginalized individuals including, but not limited to: • Black/Brown/Indigenous People of Color • LGBTQIA+ community members • Women/Femme-identifying/Femme-presenting individuals • Individuals experiencing disability/chronic illness • Individuals existing in plus-sized bodies • Individuals who experience the world through neurodiverse lenses • Individuals who have experienced classism or socio-economic abuse • Individuals who have experienced spiritual/religious trauma, etc. Clients working with me are promised a deconstructed, non-conservative safe space where they can criticize oppressive social systems, while developing the support and empowerment needed to heal from and challenge said systems.
