I would love to work with teenager, young adults, adults and older generations to help them navigate through difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression and grief and loss. My ideal client understands that therapy is a journey and is willing to show up for themselves wanting something different and better for themselves. My ideal client is committed to the work and confident they can show up for themselves and be able to see things in a different perspective and try new things that are outside of their comfort zone.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients will learn a little about me as a clinician, I will learn what their presenting problem is and a bit about their background and what their goals are in seeking therapy in which we can work to make a treatment plan together to achieve those wants, desires and goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My 21 years of being provider in this field have allowed me the opportunity to understand many different struggles and see all the successes of individuals attaining their goals. I am a supportive provider who can bring good energy to the space to allow for trust, safety and offer unconditional positive regard. I am empathetic to my clients needs and able to validate their feelings and options in a safe space.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT widely in my practice helping clients to identify cognitive distortions and work together to reframe and restructure through thought challenging and learning coping strategies for dealing with different problems.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT in working with clients by teaching specific skills, getting comfortable with mindfulness and learning to notice what's happening in the present and to learn how to better regulate emotions.

Grief Therapy

I use grief therapy to work with clients to process their loss using empathy, to understand what the client is encountering, acceptance of the loss and helping the client learn and utilize coping skills to cope with difficult days.
