Hey there! I'm so excited to connect with you! As an LCSW I've had the privilege of working with amazing individuals and families. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at Florida State University and have had the opportunity to work in diverse settings like community mental health, crisis intervention, and the public school system. I've helped people dealing with all sorts of things, from life transitions to anxiety, depression, and relationships.
In our first session together, we will spend time getting to know each other, exploring initial concerns, and discussing goals for treatment.
I hold a fundamental belief that you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to serve as your guide on the transformative journey to your best self. I consider the counselor-client relationship to be a cornerstone of success, and I approach each interaction with authentic warmth, kindness, and an open mind. Let's collaboratively craft a secure and supportive space where your personal growth can flourish
I love working with teenagers and young adults. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and a genuine belief in the potential for positive change, making the work with young adults a deeply fulfilling aspect of my practice.
I have been trained in ACT. ACT emphasizes psychological flexibility, which can help individuals adapt to challenging situations. Depending on therapeutic goals, I believe that ACT can help clients lead a more fulfilling life.
I am EMDR trained. EMDR is an evidence-based and effective intervention, especially when addressing trauma-related issues. The technique's ability to promote healing and alleviate emotional distress aligns with my goal of fostering positive mental health outcomes for clients.
I believe in meeting the client where they are. This method blend approaches in a way that best suits the needs of each individual client, fostering a more personalized and effective therapeutic experience.
