Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's normal to have questions or feel a little nervous. My goal is to make your first session as comfortable and welcoming as possible. During our initial session, we'll spend time getting to know one another. I'll ask questions about what brought you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, your personal history, and what you hope to accomplish through counseling. We'll discuss your strengths, explore any concerns you may have, and begin identifying goals that are meaningful to you. This first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine whether we're a good fit. Therapy is most effective when you feel safe, heard, and supported, and I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings. By the end of the session, we'll work together to develop an initial treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. You'll leave with a better understanding of the therapeutic process, practical strategies you can begin using right away, and a clear plan for moving forward. My goal is to help you feel empowered, supported, and hopeful as we begin your journey toward healing and lasting positive change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked in the mental health field over 20 years, I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress. I am dedicated in helping my clients navigate emotional distress and build resilience. I am passionate about providing support and empowering you with tools and techniques to help you face your challenges. Now more than ever, we need a safe place to express ourselves and I'm looking forward to providing that for you!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, life transitions, career development/changes, trauma-related symptoms, and difficulties with emotional regulation and concentration. I am particularly well-suited for clients who are seeking to increase insight into maladaptive thought patterns, improve coping skills, and enhance interpersonal relationships. My approach is effective for those who are motivated to engage in structured, evidence-based interventions such as CBT while also processing underlying emotional experiences.
