The constant pressures of daily life can leave us feeling stressed out, scared, and alone. At times our journey may become so overwhelming that we become hopeless and feel we cannot go on like this anymore. This can be an opportunity to reach out for guidance and support, recognizing we do not have to journey in isolation. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I will provide support and guidance to help you identify unhealthy thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so that you can make positive and sustainable changes to improve your quality of life. I specialize in working with females 16+ years of age on a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-harming behavior, and poor self esteem. I also have extensive experience in trauma-related issues, addictive behavior/substance abuse issues, marriage and family therapy, grief and loss, and dementia. I believe that feeling a connection with your therapist is the most important component of therapy. I offer non-judgmental and compassionate support, as well as a safe and confidential environment. Feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience to determine if you think I would be a good fit for you!
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Humans have a fundamental need to be heard and accepted by others. I believe that feeling a connection and building trust with your therapist are the two most important components of a successful therapeutic relationship. I will provide validation and acceptance (no judgment!), as well as coping tools and strategies for making positive life changes. It takes courage to enter therapy, and I respect and enjoy working with clients who choose growth and healing!
