I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner that specializes in medication management for children, adolescents and adults. I have experience working in various mental health settings. I focus on improving a patient’s quality of life by looking at the whole picture and using a holistic approach. Approximately 50% of people are diagnosed with mental health issues at some point in their lives. Know that you are not alone. During an initial appointment, we can discuss what medication and/or therapy options are best for you. I look forward to being able to help you on your journey to improving your mental health and overall quality of life.
Clients can expect to walk away with the support they need to improve their life. Sometimes that takes the form of an ear to listen to them. Sometimes that takes the form of a medication to treat their specific symptoms. Either way, I work hard to ensure that clients will leave our sessions better than they came into them.
I utilize a combination of talk therapy and medication management to effectively treat clients based on their symptoms. I also use specific tools such as the GAD-7 and PHQ-9 surveys to help me better understand my client’s needs.
One of my biggest strengths is making sure my client feels heard and understood. I have been told that I’m very easy to talk to and can make people who decide to do so comfortable with anything they would like to tell me. I’m also open minded, and can work with my clients to come to a solution that is best for them. I can also adjust what methods we use to get there based on my client’s feedback.
