New to Grow
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) with 18 years of diverse clinical experience supporting people through some of life's most difficult moments. I was drawn to the mental health field by a deep belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported through life's challenges. I was specifically pulled towards social work based on the principles of social justice and include these principles in the therapeutic space. I continue to be inspired by my clients' growth and resilience and continue to be passionate about helping people develop the tools and insights they need to navigate life's complexities and build stronger relationships with themselves and others.
During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and identify some of the challenges you are experiencing. This will include the two of us getting to know each other, for me to gain an understanding of what you are looking for and a chance for you to ask questions about the process, and any other questions you have for me. We will work together to create goals for therapy that feel right for you.
I bring genuine warmth, caring, and humor into sessions and I believe in holding space for difficult emotions. My versatility is a key strength and I have worked with many different types of clients across diverse settings (i.e: community metal health, integrating behavioral health into primary care settings, intimate partner violence, sexual assault and sexual abuse, Military installations and Veterans) and have developed an eclectic, flexible approach that draws from multiple evidence-based modalities, such as CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, and Mindfullness as examples. My role is to offer support and safety for you to process your thoughts and emotions in a trusted manner.
I work with an array of clients who are navigating life transitions. I’m best positioned to support adults who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, grief, or life transitions and are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes. Many of my clients are navigating emotional ups and downs, struggling with distressing thoughts or feelings, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
