I am a licensed therapist with a background in clinical leadership, having served in management and director-level roles overseeing behavioral health programs. I have extensive experience working with individuals with severe mental illness, including those in high-acuity settings, where I’ve been responsible for program development, clinical oversight, and supporting multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective, ethical care. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a range of settings including community mental health, managed care, and structured treatment programs, where I supported large patient populations and helped implement systems focused on outcomes, stability, and continuity of care. This experience has shaped my ability to work with complex clinical presentations, crisis situations, and individuals navigating significant life disruption. In my clinical work, I help clients who are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and existential concerns—especially those struggling with questions of meaning, identity, and direction. I integrate evidence-based approaches like ACT, CBT, DBT, and attachment-based therapy to provide both practical tools and deeper, insight-oriented work. My style is direct, collaborative, and grounded. I bring both clinical expertise and real-world leadership experience into the therapy space, helping clients move toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my primary goal is to get to know you—who you are, what’s bringing you in, and what you want to be different in your life. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and any patterns or challenges you’ve been noticing. I’ll also ask about your goals, even if they’re not fully clear yet, and begin to understand what matters most to you. I approach every client as unique. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment. As I get to know you, I begin forming a personalized plan that fits your specific needs, preferences, and goals. This plan may evolve over time, but it will always be grounded in what is most relevant and meaningful to you. By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of direction, an understanding of how we might work together, and the beginning of a plan tailored specifically to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance between depth and practicality. I don’t just focus on symptom relief—I help you understand the underlying patterns, experiences, and beliefs that shape how you think, feel, and relate to others. At the same time, I make sure you leave sessions with tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life. My work integrates evidence-based approaches like ACT, CBT, DBT, and attachment-based therapy, allowing me to adapt to what works best for you rather than forcing a single model. I’m also direct and engaged in session. I won’t just sit back and nod—I’ll offer feedback, challenge unhelpful patterns when needed, and help you stay focused on what matters most to you. The goal is to create meaningful, lasting change, not just insight without action. At the same time, clients often tell me that I’m easy to talk to and that they feel comfortable opening up, even about things they haven’t shared before. I prioritize creating a space that feels safe, grounded, and nonjudgmental, while still being honest and productive. This combination of approachability and directness helps clients feel supported while also moving forward in a real way.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, especially those who feel stuck in unhelpful patterns or disconnected from a sense of meaning and direction. Many of the clients I serve are thoughtful, self-aware individuals who want more than symptom relief—they want to understand themselves more deeply and make lasting, values-driven changes. I have particular experience supporting individuals with substance use histories, legal involvement, or major life disruptions, including those in recovery who are working to rebuild stability and purpose. I also work well with clients who struggle with relationship challenges, emotional regulation, or the lingering impact of early attachment experiences. In addition, I provide executive coaching for professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs who want to improve performance, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness. This work often focuses on clarity, accountability, communication, and navigating high-pressure environments, while also addressing underlying patterns that may impact leadership and professional growth. Clients who tend to benefit most from my approach are open to self-exploration and willing to engage in both insight-oriented and skills-based work. I provide a balance of practical tools and deeper process work, helping clients not only cope more effectively, but also create meaningful, sustainable change in how they live and lead.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my practice, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present, open, and engaged in life, even when facing difficult thoughts, emotions, or circumstances. Rather than trying to eliminate distress, I help clients change their relationship to it so it has less control over their behavior. I guide clients through core ACT processes like mindfulness, acceptance, and cognitive defusion, helping them notice thoughts and feelings without becoming overwhelmed or stuck. We also spend time identifying personal values—what truly matters to them—and using those values as a guide for decision-making and behavior change. Treatment is active and collaborative. I often use experiential exercises, metaphors, and real-life practice to help clients apply these skills outside of sessions. The goal is not to “feel better” all the time, but to live better—by taking meaningful action even in the presence of discomfort. I also integrate other therapeutic approaches depending on the client’s needs, ensuring treatment is individualized, practical, and aligned with their goals.

Existential

Existential therapy is another core approach I use to help clients explore deeper questions about meaning, identity, and how they want to live their lives. Rather than focusing only on symptom reduction, this work centers on understanding the human experience—especially themes like freedom, responsibility, uncertainty, isolation, and mortality. In practice, I help clients examine the beliefs, patterns, and choices that shape their lives, and where they may feel stuck or disconnected. We explore questions like: What gives your life meaning? What are you avoiding? Where do you feel out of alignment with who you want to be? This process isn’t about giving answers, but about helping clients develop clarity, ownership, and a stronger sense of purpose.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present, open, and engaged in life, even when facing difficult thoughts or emotions. Rather than trying to eliminate distress, we work on changing the relationship to it through mindfulness, acceptance, cognitive defusion, and values-based action. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns such as negative automatic thoughts, cognitive distortions, and core beliefs that may be contributing to distress. I support clients in learning how to challenge and reframe unhelpful thinking, develop more balanced perspectives, and practice new behaviors that reinforce change.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to help clients explore how early relationships and past experiences shape current patterns in relationships, emotional regulation, and self-perception. This work focuses on identifying attachment styles, understanding relational triggers, and building more secure ways of connecting with others. I emphasize the therapeutic relationship as a safe, consistent space where clients can experience trust, repair, and healthier interpersonal dynamics.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and increasing distress tolerance. I teach practical skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness, helping clients respond to challenges more effectively rather than reacting impulsively. DBT is especially useful for clients who experience emotional overwhelm, reactivity, or difficulty navigating relationships
