My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have utilized this method to help clients unhook from difficult thoughts and feelings by helping clients stay grounded in the present moment. I also explore the clients values to help establish goals and take action towards further aligning with their goals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized this method to help client identify how thoughts can influence emotions. I work with clients to identify cognitive distortions and restructure or reframe thoughts.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have used this method to help clients improve emotion regulation, practice distress tolerance skills, and learn to use mindfulness skills to help clients live in the present moment.

Somatic

I utilize this bottom-up approach to help clients identify sensations in their body to process and regulate difficult thoughts and emotions.
