I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University with 13 years of experience in the field of mental health. I have a history working with adults and adolescents in the community mental health and hospital settings. I have worked with clients managing challenges such as difficult relationships, stress management, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.
I will work collaboratively with you to create a safe space for you to begin your healing journey as we identify goals to help you live a healthy fulfilling life.
I utilize a person-centered and holistic approach incorporating a variety of treatment modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I seek to provide a warm, compassionate, and welcoming therapeutic environment.
I have helped clients navigate significant life transitions such as dealing with changes in family dynamic, career transitions, role conflicts, and dealing with developmental changes as they move through various stages of life. I also enjoy working with clients from the BIPOC community acknowledging the intersectionality of the unique challenges impacting this community. I have experience helping clients process relational trauma and improve their ability to regulate emotions. I also enjoy helping clients explore their identity and improve their self concept.

I have utilized this method to help clients unhook from difficult thoughts and feelings by helping clients stay grounded in the present moment. I also explore the clients values to help establish goals and take action towards further aligning with their goals.

I have utilized this method to help client identify how thoughts can influence emotions. I work with clients to identify cognitive distortions and restructure or reframe thoughts.

I have used this method to help clients improve emotion regulation, practice distress tolerance skills, and learn to use mindfulness skills to help clients live in the present moment.

I utilize this bottom-up approach to help clients identify sensations in their body to process and regulate difficult thoughts and emotions.
