I’m a board‑certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of experience across the continuum of psychiatric care. My clinical background includes inpatient treatment for children and adults, community mental health crisis stabilization, state hospital care, and work within substance use treatment centers. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston and began my career as a psychiatric nurse in an inpatient hospital setting, where I developed a strong foundation in acute mental health care. Throughout my career, I have served as a charge nurse in both state hospital settings and substance use treatment programs while completing my graduate studies at Regis College. My work has consistently focused on supporting individuals through complex psychiatric and addiction‑related challenges with compassion, clinical rigor, and cultural humility. Most recently, I earned my CARN‑AP certification, further strengthening my expertise in addiction psychiatry and my commitment to evidence‑based, person‑centered care.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a calm, welcoming space where we talk about what brought you in and what you hope to change or understand. I’ll ask about your history, current concerns, and goals so I can get a full picture of your needs. If you’re seeking medication support, we’ll also review symptoms and past treatments and discuss options together. By the end of the visit, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction, and we’ll outline next steps, whether that includes therapy, medication management, addiction support, or a combination tailored to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner include strong analytical skills, empathy, compassion, reliability, and resilience. Additionally, I possess the leadership and decision-making capabilities necessary to be an effective primary mental health service provider.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals who are ready to understand themselves deeply and take meaningful steps toward emotional and behavioral wellness. My ideal clients are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, mood changes, or substance use, and they value a collaborative, honest, and nonjudgmental space to explore their experiences. Some clients seek therapy to process life events or build healthier coping skills, while others come for psychiatric medication management to support stability and daily functioning. I also work closely with individuals in recovery or those exploring treatment options for addiction, helping them rebuild their lives with compassion and evidence‑based care. Many of my clients balance multiple identities, cultural expectations, or systemic pressures and appreciate a provider who practices cultural humility and understands the importance of whole-person care. Telehealth clients benefit from the flexibility and comfort of receiving support in a familiar environment while still engaging in structured, meaningful work. I am most aligned with clients who are open to reflection, willing to try new strategies, and committed to creating a life that feels grounded, empowered, and aligned with their values.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

Motivational interviewing is an approach to counseling that applies to a wide range of conditions and behaviors, such as chronic diseases, substance use, and mental health disorders. I employ this technique to help individuals with depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions examine their emotions and motivations for transformation. In conclusion, I utilize this methodology to assist individuals in ceasing tobacco use by delving into their reluctance to stop and bolstering their motivation.

Psychoeducation

Combining psychotherapy and education, psychoeducation interventions are utilized as a form of therapeutic intervention in my practice. They integrate educational components with a diverse array of supplementary activities, including counseling and supportive interventions. Tailored or standardized psychoeducational interventions may be administered individually or in groups. Providing clients with psychoeducation generally consists of four elements: imparting knowledge regarding their health issue or concern, fostering the development of problem-solving and communication capabilities, and instructing clients in assertiveness.
