Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas with 13 years of professional work experience. My professional journey started helping people with functional diversity, college students, and the LBGTQ population. I have dedicated my time to working with couples and families on issues of family changes, divorce, domestic violence, parenting, and grief. I see clients in individual therapy with learning disability, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder. I work with people to help them to discover their potential and build resilience. I have mediated group therapy sessions to include life skills, anger management, stress management, adjustment to changes, and parenting skills. I also served our community by working with children and families with different diagnoses in a health center. I used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play therapy, Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, Family Therapy, Behavioral Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy. The approach used is tailored based on your needs. I believe in resilience and that no matter the most difficult circumstances, people can transform, get up, reinvent themselves, and move forward. The answers and solutions are born from within you and all the experiences you have overcome, making you a strong human being. I want to be that guide who helps you see those answers and solutions in times of pain and need to create resilience and empowerment.
In our first session together, we can make brief introductions. You can clarify questions about the process, and you will talk about the reasons that bring you to counseling. I will ask you questions to create a tailored plan for us to work on in the following sessions. That will be your time and your space to feel safe.
Having worked with families and individuals for the past 14 years, I’ve developed the skills, empathy, and sensibility to help you find solutions for the challenges that you face today. I want to use all this experience to accompany you through your process.
I love working with families, individuals, and people who want to discover their potential. My clients sometimes feel anxious, discouraged, or alone. They feel lost, looking for tools to overcome the many challenges that life brings them. Other times, they need help and ears that listen to their fears and questions and need to improve. They want new opportunities, and the process of learning gives them hope.

Once I moved to Texas, I worked with immigrant children. I facilitated their integration into society after they moved from their home country. I helped them adjust to changes. I conducted therapy with humility and respect, understanding the challenges of adapting to a different culture.
During the last years in my home country, I have dedicated my time to working with couples and families on issues of family changes, divorce, domestic violence, children's academic demands, and grief. I helped couples improve their communication and sexuality, build a better bond or emotional connection, and develop parenting skills.
