Hi! I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati and have been practicing for 15+ years. I help young and older adults by assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders through medication management and psychoeducation. I foster a judgment-free, therapeutic relationship with my clients to help empower them to develop coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, and enhance their overall quality of life.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will start by building a rapport and explaining confidentiality and privacy. We will then delve into a comprehensive assessment regarding current and past mental, medical, and family history. Together, we will discuss treatment options to create a personalized plan of care.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with clients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders for over 15+ years, I have developed a unique skill set that combines medical expertise, therapeutic interventions, and a holistic and non-judgemental approach to mental health care. I have a strong ability to get to the root cause or stressor that is causing mental and or substance use issues.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I appreciate woking with clients who are motivated to seek help and participate in their plan of care, which includes medication management and lifestyle changes. My clients have mental health and or substance use issues that require a combination of medication management and therapeutic intervention. The may be experiencing a major life change or stressor that is impacting their mental health and requires professional support.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

Many people struggling with mental health or behavioral challenges may feel stuck or unsure about making changes in their lives. I use Motivational Interviewing in my practice because it is a client-centered, evidence-based approach that helps me empower and resolve ambivalence toward change.
