There is no shame in needing some help to get over humps, to work through current issues that may be hindering you from seeing the good things in life, or even to work through years of painful experiences or trauma. We are all human and at many points throughout life need to reach out to someone for help, whether it is from friends, family, or professionals. Reaching out can be difficult and a bit scary, but rest assured you are making the right choice and taking a huge step in the right direction. We will walk through this journey together. I enjoy helping people heal from their pain of trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief, anger, and life problems. Techniques I often use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with some Mindfulness mixed in. These are great and very beneficial, and without a doubt will help you. I offer Biblical Counseling as well.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. I have several questions to ask that will give me a better picture of your history. This will help me to create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Like I said above I enjoy helping people heal from their trauma. Even if you belief anxiety and/or depression is all you have, there is typically something or many things in your past you did not realize had such a profound impact. Together we will search your past, and you will begin to heal as we work through this.

My treatment methods

EMDR

This will literally activate the brain to process. It gets into the neural network of the brain. It can be used for anything, but it's excellent for trauma and PTSD.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This is great for learning new things about yourself and learning new habits. It helps to get you thinking deeper about who you are and what areas need changing.

Christian Counseling

For those who want this included, a biblical approach will be added to the techniques used.

Eclectic

EMDR and CBT are my main methods, but when needed other methods may be included.
