I am a licensed therapist in Florida with 10 years of professional experience and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. I specialize in helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, addictions, anger management, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. My approach is rooted in respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I customize our conversations and treatment plans to meet your unique needs. As a person-centered therapist, I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. This space encourages honesty, self-awareness, and personal growth, helping you achieve your goals.
In your first session, we’ll begin with brief introductions and discuss what brings you to therapy, including your current concerns, needs, and goals. I’ll complete an initial assessment to better understand your experiences and identify areas of focus. Together, we’ll begin developing a personalized treatment plan to guide future sessions and support meaningful progress.
My greatest strength as a mental health counselor is my ability to listen, empathize, build rapport, and promote hope in the lives of clients. I have experienced numerous encounters of clients shifting towards improvement from the very first session just through psychotherapy.
I enjoy working with adults ages 18 to 70 who are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship concerns, or significant life transitions. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, seeking greater clarity, or ready for meaningful change, therapy can provide a supportive space to move forward. Together, we can build confidence, strengthen coping skills, establish healthy boundaries, improve communication, and develop practical strategies that support your goals and personal growth.
CBT is a practical, future-focused approach that helps individuals identify and change distressing thought patterns and unhealthy behaviors. I use this method to help clients understand their emotions, how they influence behavior, and to develop healthier coping strategies. Over the past five years, CBT has allowed me to guide many clients in challenging negative thoughts, managing anxiety, and creating a more balanced life. Together, we’ll explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and actions to reshape patterns and reduce stress.
Person-centered therapy is grounded in the belief that every individual has the capacity and drive to achieve their full potential. In sessions, I use this approach by practicing active listening, providing encouragement, focusing entirely on your needs, and validating your emotions. This collaborative, client-focused method creates a safe space for personal growth and self-discovery. Together, we’ll work to empower you, fostering self-awareness and confidence as you navigate challenges and strive for a more fulfilling and balanced life.

This was a real big step for me to even consider taking some form of therapy. There have been some life changes that recently happened in my life. I figured why not!! I searched through the Grow App and based my preference on what I read, and looking at the profile. After talking to Kayla for the very first time. I really felt like I hit the nail on the head. She is very soft in her vibe, kind, quiet but yet observant . I think this is gonna be a real good fit for me.
