Hello there, I'm Demi Bandolik, a dedicated therapist with a Master's degree from Loyola University Chicago and five years of experience in crisis services. My passion lies in providing support to individuals during their most challenging moments, offering a safe and non-judgmental space to explore their struggles. I look forward to get to know you and understand what makes you who you are and how you got here.
In our initial session, I'll take the time to get to know you, understanding your unique experiences and circumstances. With a solution-focused approach, I'll work with you to identify immediate needs and develop strategies for moving forward.
My strengths as a therapist include warmth, approachability, and compassion, creating a comfortable environment for clients to open up and work through their challenges.
Using cognitive therapy methods can be very beneficial to my clients because it helps them get to the bottom of their actions and behaviors. Working in crisis services for the past 4 years, I can see the effectiveness of finding methods to alter these thought processes in a healthy way which contribute to more positive coping mechanisms.
In my experience, many individuals find it hard to think of ways to improve or change their situations to help them live a more peaceful and joyful life. Looking at ways to do this in a solution focused manner can help individuals stray away from looking at the negative.
We all have so many strengths that we forget about because of our own negative self image. Focusing on these strengths can be a way individuals can hone into that and use that for their further growth and development.
