I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. My goal for all of my clients is to give them the skills needed to be able to function at their highest level independently. I work with my clients to help them think more rationally and function in a flexible and responsive way. I strongly believe if we can learn to respond to situations rather than react... we then stop and think... resulting in a more positive outcomes for our future. I work with my clients to aid in problem solving and improvement of reasoning abilities.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session we will go over basic information to get an idea of what is going on in their current lives. We will explore the reasons the they are presenting for therapy. We will then address their most pressing issue and begin to alleviate their anxiety through positive problem solving. Finally, a treatment plan will be set in place to to allow my clients an idea of how their therapy will progress.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my greatest strengths as a provider is flexibility with situations and listening to my clients to understand what they are presenting for. That leads to tailoring each treatment plan specifically for the individual client so THEIR personal concerns are addressed. My focus is to deal with my clients most pressing and volatile situations in session. This allows my client can get fast relief of anxiety and feel they have a plan to deal with current and future situations independently.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy throughout my counseling career. CBT is a highly effective approach that is used to help clients identify, understand, and change patterns of thoughts and behaviors. This will allow for improved thoughts and decision making skills that lead to a more independent and happier life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have used Solution Focused Brief Treatment throughout my counseling career. This is a goal oriented future-focused counseling approach. This approach helps the client recognize strengths and the solutions they can use to address their current issues to be able to lead an independent and happier life.
