New to Grow
Starting therapy can be incredibly difficult and scary. I try to ease that difficulty and discomfort by bringing compassion, authenticity, and curiosity to the therapy space. I help support clients through whatever challenges they are facing to be able to realize the version of themselves they hope to be. I am both a licensed therapist and licensed art therapist and integrate a number of modalities to create the most well rounded and personalize treatment for my clients.
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what has brought you to therapy. It is completely normal to feel nervous or scared because change is scary, even when it is good change. We’ll move at your pace, one step at a time, and I’ll be here to guide you throughout.
I find that one of my strengths as a therapist is that I am authentic and incredibly human. I have had my own challenges in life and although I may not always understand yours, I do understand the struggle and want to support you in whatever way you need. I like to learn about you, who you are and your interest while sprinkling in therapeutic approached that allow for growth, promote emotional process, and challenge some of those thoughts and behaviors that may no longer be serving you. We may touch on modalities such as DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, art therapy, and other directives that will support you in your specific treatment goals.
