THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN MIDLIFE Your calendar is jam-packed. You’re juggling a never-ending checklist, responsibilities, and expectations— wearing multiple hats as a professional, wife, mother, daughter, and caregiver. You’re balancing work, home, and the changes of midlife that no one really warned you about. Lately, it all feels heavier — and you’re starting to feel it emotionally and physically. YOU’RE THE ONE OTHERS RELY ON — at work, at home, and in every role you hold. But beneath it all, you may be feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. Therapy at Seaside is a space to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with the version of you that isn’t running on empty. HI, I’M GAIL — THERAPIST & OWNER OF SEASIDE MENTAL WELLNESS. With nearly three decades of experience in medical and mental health settings, I support women navigating anxiety, emotional burnout, and life transitions — especially midlife changes such as perimenopause and menopause. My approach is warm, collaborative, and solution-focused, offering practical tools for real life. YOU'RE WELCOME TO EXPLORE www.seasidementalwellness.com or follow @seasidementalwellness on Facebook and Instagram if you’d like more information about Seaside. Many clients find this helpful as they prepare for therapy. WHETHER YOU LIVE IN a vibrant city like St. Pete or Tampa, a quiet beach town like Anna Maria or Siesta Key, or somewhere in between like Bradenton or Sarasota, emotional support for women in Florida is just a click away. THERAPY AT SEASIDE IS FOR WOMEN WHO ARE experiencing anxiety or chronic stress; navigating life changes such as divorce, career shifts, retirement, health challenges, or relocation; feeling the emotional or physical toll of perimenopause or menopause; seeking clarity, confidence, and stronger boundaries; coping with grief or age-related changes; or feeling emotionally overloaded by relationships, career demands, and caregiving.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
WE’LL CREATE A SUPPORTIVE SPACE where you can gain clarity, build coping skills, and begin moving toward emotional wellness. You don’t have to have everything figured out — this time is dedicated to you. YOUR FIRST SESSION is a chance to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Therapy at Seaside is collaborative and tailored to your personal goals, offering therapeutic support without the stress of traffic, waiting rooms, or taking time off from work. WE’LL SPEND TIME EXPLORING what brought you here, what you’re hoping to change or better understand, and what you’ve been carrying. Together, we’ll begin mapping out what healing and support can look like for you. BY THE END OF THE SESSION, you'll have a clearer sense of how we will work together, a supportive place to begin processing what’s been weighing on you, and practical next steps to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
CLIENTS DESCRIBE THERAPY AT SEASIDE AS warm, calming, supportive, insightful, and empowering. Sessions are designed to help you build coping skills, reduce stress, and feel more like yourself again. THE SEASIDE APPROACH focuses on your thoughts, emotions, values, and strengths. We’ll explore what’s working, what’s not, and what’s needed to support meaningful and sustainable change in your everyday. TOO MANY WOMEN FEEL LIKE they should be able to handle everything on their own. The truth? You were never meant to carry so much without support. Seaside was created to offer a space where women feel seen, heard, and supported, with practical tools to help navigate everyday life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
AT SEASIDE MENTAL WELLNESS, I support women in their 30s through midlife who are navigating anxiety, emotional burnout, and life transitions — especially changes related to perimenopause and menopause. You may appear to be holding it all together on the outside, while feeling overwhelmed, stretched thin, or uncertain on the inside. Let's pause, reflect, and identify what you need most right now. SEASIDE CLIENTS ARE insightful, motivated, and deeply caring women who often support others, yet struggle to offer themselves the same compassion. You may not know exactly what you need yet — but you know something needs to change. You’re ready to invest in your well-being — not as a last resort, but as a meaningful step toward feeling more like yourself again.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you notice patterns in thoughts that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed. At Seaside, I use components of CBT to help you challenge unhelpful thinking, reduce negative self-talk, and develop more supportive ways of responding to stress. The goal is greater clarity, confidence, and practical coping tools you can use in everyday life.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Therapy focuses on increasing awareness, reducing stress, and strengthening emotional resilience. Through breathwork, grounding techniques, and body awareness, you’ll learn how to slow down, stay present, and reconnect with yourself. This approach offers simple, practical tools that support calm, clarity, and emotional balance in everyday life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Therapy centers on what’s possible — not just what’s difficult. At Seaside, we’ll identify your goals using small, realistic steps that fit into your everyday life. This approach helps build momentum, confidence, and sustainable change without feeling overwhelming.
Strength-Based
Strength-Based Therapy focuses on what’s already working within you. Rather than centering only on problems, we’ll explore your strengths, adaptability, and personal insight. This approach supports growth by helping you recognize your capabilities, build confidence, and move forward in your everyday life with greater clarity and trust in yourself.
Integrative
Integrative Therapy is grounded in a whole-person approach to emotional wellness. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from multiple therapeutic methods — including CBT, mindfulness, mind-body strategies, solution-focused, and strength-based work — to support your emotional wellness. This flexible approach allows us to meet you where you are and create a path forward that feels aligned, supportive, and sustainable.

Gail is so great and understanding. She let me spill my life to her even when I accidentally interpreted her. It really felt like I’ve known her for years and we were just two girls yapping at a cafe. If you need someone who feels like a bestie, talk to Gail!

As a middle aged woman that is the caregiver for my entire family I am experiencing some anxiety and emotions of feeling overwhelmed. A lot of changes have happened this year with my husband having an incurable disease, child off to college and the death of my mother which have led me to seek help. So far I have only had my intro session but I felt it in my heart as soon as we started talking that she was going to be a perfect fit for me. Looking forward to my journey!
