Life. At times life is uncomfortable, messy, disappointing, sad, frightening, filled with worry, difficult, even painful. It takes courage to consider reaching out for support. Together, let’s evaluate how life’s experiences have contributed to the emotional, behavioral, and psychological responses that are interfering with living the life you desire. Powerful and practical life changes begin when you decide to take control over the things in life in which you do have power. With graduate degrees in psychology, from Marshall University, Huntington, WV (M.A.) and University of Kentucky (Ed.S), and more than 20 years of practice, I know our partnership will provide you with comfort, knowledge, and personal growth.
Our first session will be about getting to know you and gaining a clear understanding of your concerns and your goals for counseling. Expect each session to include a bit of 'homework' - which will help you focus on your growth goals.
What drives my clinical focus is the empathy and knowledge of both observing the challenges faced by adults 20+ years and having years of 'life' experience. I've been repeatedly told by clients that "I get it!" in reference to their struggles.
Women adapting to life's transitions - career, marriage, parenting, divorce, and empty nest. Individuals navigating the role of care taker. Individuals struggling with grief or loneliness. Being able to walk along side folks when life has suddenly become overwhelming and offering hope. It's an honor to be allowed into someone's 'inner circle' and to become a trusted source of encouragement.

Our minds are always at work - helping our minds slow down and properly interpret and process the data is a skill everyone can learn.
