Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strength is my ability to listen to what you are saying and hear your needs.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Many of my clients are Individuals experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, or a lack of interest or pleasure in activities; individuals facing excessive worry, fear, or panic attacks that interfere with their daily functioning; individuals who have survived traumatic events such as abuse, accidents, or violence; individuals navigating challenges in their relationships that contribute to their mental health struggles. I also work with couples where one or both partners are affected by depressive symptoms, impacting their relationship dynamics; couples where anxiety contributes to communication challenges, trust issues, or conflicts; couples where one or both partners are coping with the aftermath of trauma, affecting their relationship; couples facing communication difficulties, conflicts, or intimacy issues. Clients who are seeking couples therapy are those who are open to both individual and couples therapy sessions, allowing you to address their personal struggles as well as relational dynamics. My ideal clients are willing to engage in various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, or trauma-focused interventions. They also appreciate a holistic approach to mental health, considering not only psychological factors but also the impact of lifestyle, relationships, and overall well-being.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help clients clarify their values and learn skills for handling difficult thoughts and emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them. My approach emphasizes mindfulness and acceptance while supporting clients in taking meaningful actions that move them closer to the life they want to live.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I apply CBT to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. Together we explore how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and I provide practical tools and strategies for managing challenges such as anxiety, depression, or stress. This structured, goal-oriented method empowers clients to make lasting changes.

Couples Counseling

In couples counseling, I create a supportive and nonjudgmental space for partners to improve communication, rebuild trust, and resolve conflicts. I guide couples in identifying patterns that are keeping them stuck and help them develop new ways to connect, strengthen their relationship, and achieve healthier intimacy and understanding.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process and heal from trauma and distressing experiences. This evidence-based approach reduces the intensity of painful memories by engaging both the brain and body in reprocessing. Clients often experience relief from symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and other trauma-related concerns as we work through targeted memories together.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I specialize in ERP for clients struggling with OCD and anxiety. This structured approach involves gradually facing feared thoughts or situations while learning to resist the urge to engage in compulsions or avoidance. With guidance and support, clients build confidence, reduce anxiety, and regain freedom in their daily lives.
