Life is not easy. We have all been through at least one event that affected us in a way where it follows us and finds ways to get our attention. For a lot of us this may be depression and anxiety. Lack of a sense of identity. Trying to survive in a world where we are told to live and think a certain way. But at the end of the day, we are all different; built with our own unique energetic and genetic blueprint. So how in any way can each of us follow the same path, the same way of living? My specific focus is working with individuals to break down walls. Understand how past events might be affecting them today in their relationship dynamics, their career, why they make the choices they make. Setting a path to find themselves and be the best versions of themselves. This might involve tapping into their creativity and not being afraid to dream. I highly encourage using one's imagination. A lot of those whom struggle with depression and anxiety have nervous systems that are in constant survival and are not even aware of that. I work with clients on finding modalities to help them break out of survival mode and feel safe in their daily lives. My approach is more holistic: mind/body/spirit. My preferred practice is spiritually based, but I am happy to work with those whom do not prefer that approach. Ultimately, I'm here to guide those looking for their true selves!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will first introduce myself and see if you have any questions or concerns and get a feel to see what it is you are looking for. We will then go into the intake part of the session where I will ask a few information gathering questions to glean a good understanding of your background. The last part of the session we will discuss goals and certain treatment modalities you are interested in focusing on .

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm open to feedback from the client with things they would like to change in their treatment and certain areas I need improvement in. I am always looking for opportunities to grow. I'm genuine and will bring elements of my personality into sessions within the proper realm of boundaries.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavior Therapy can be very useful when working on reframing those tricky inner subconscious thoughts or daily inner dialogue we do not realizing we are engaging in. My goal in implementing this approach is to help you develop different tools to reframe your thoughts into shaping the reality you want. Because our minds are extremely powerful and if those negative thoughts can shape our reality, then why not positive/strength based thoughts too?

Compassion Focused

I use my empathetic nature to allow you to feel seen and safe while expressing and navigating thoughts, feelings, goals, and day to day stressors.

Faith based therapy

By faith based I mean integrate spirituality into practice to those whom are interested by emphasizing importance on mind, body, spirit. I implement this in various ways depending on your specific beliefs. For example, if you are someone who believes in the Higher self, we would bring this into discussion and explore ways for you to connect with that inner most/multidimensional part of yourself.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This can be a very helpful tool for regulating the nervous system along with understanding where certain thought processes are coming from. I will often recommend different methods with this approach for you to try and build a tool box to utilize on a daily basis.

Somatic

This will be discussed as a means to implement outside of sessions. Along with mindfulness activities, somatic work can be very helpful with regulating the nervous system. I will often recommend different methods for you to try and add to your toolbox.
