In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is a time to begin building a safe, supportive, and trusting relationship. We’ll review confidentiality and the counseling process, and I’ll take time to understand your concerns, goals, and what brings you to therapy. You can expect a nonjudgmental space where you are heard and respected. Counseling is an active, collaborative process, and we’ll discuss how meaningful change often requires time, effort, and practice—both in and outside of sessions. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and next steps, with my role being to provide guidance, structure, and evidence-based support as you move toward greater clarity, balance, and emotional well-being.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
With over 20 years of experience in mental health and wellness, I bring a deep sense of empathy, presence, and understanding into each session. My ability to genuinely connect with clients enhances rapport and creates a supportive environment where individuals feel seen and heard. I practice active, nonjudgmental listening, allowing space for honest expression and deeper self-exploration. This foundation of trust supports a strong therapeutic relationship and meaningful progress.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I provide counseling, therapeutic, and holistic wellness services to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing concerns related to mental health, behavior, and substance use. My treatment approach focuses on shifting mindsets and strengthening the relationship you have with yourself and others. Using evidence-based behavioral and therapeutic techniques, I work with clients to increase supportive behaviors and reduce patterns that no longer serve their well-being. This process may involve reinforcing positive behaviors while intentionally addressing those that interfere with growth, balance, and overall health.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a goal-oriented and brief therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and amplifying your existing strengths and resources to facilitate positive change. Overall, Solution-Focused Therapy is a collaborative and strengths-based approach that empowers you to identify and implement practical solutions to your problems, focusing on what is already working well and building on their existing strengths and resources.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT) incorporates mindfulness techniques and practices into the therapeutic process to help you cultivate present-moment awareness, acceptance, and nonjudgmental observation of your thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations. Overall, Mindfulness-Based Therapy is a holistic and integrative approach that empowers you to develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience through the cultivation of mindfulness skills and practices.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a client-centered counseling approach designed to elicit and strengthen motivation for behavior change. It is particularly effective in addressing ambivalence about change and helping you resolve your ambivalence to move towards positive behavior change. Hands down, working with Tasha has been one of the most valuable decision made towards my mental, emotional, and physical health and spiritual growth. She doesn’t waste time sugarcoating things but says things that may be hard to hear with care. Each session I leave with something useful and I look forward to continuing working with her!
