Are you dealing with anxiety? Depression? Stress? Whatever it may be, you deserve to live the life you want without the emotional baggage weighing you down, and I am here to help! Together, we can explore those feelings, using evidence-based techniques and trauma informed practices, to help you rid yourself of unwanted or intrusive thoughts and help you find the energy to move forward to a happier, fuller life. Over the course of my career, I have worked with many clients experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as worked with teens and adults who were dealing with past trauma. One approach I utilize is EMDR therapy, which helps to reprocess and desensitize trauma, allowing you to move past your past and look forward to the future. EMDR assists you in finding and processing traumatic memories that contribute to emotional dysregulation and stress. It is an excellent therapy for people who are dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, and other trauma. It is an effective treatment that is backed by science that can be show significant progress in just a few sessions.
In our first session, I will get to know you and tell you about myself and my approach to therapy. I also like to teach a technique that can help my clients get through difficult emotions in the moment. The second session is all about targeting and processing traumatic memories. Many clients are surprised at how quickly they start to feel better.
I mainly utilize EMDR therapy, as discussed above. I also use a mix of other types of supportive therapies to help clients to learn coping skills and manage stress.
I am a very client focused therapist. Though I have a plan for each session, I take what you are dealing with in to account and work with you on your most pressing issue. I am a very easy person to work with and look forward to getting to know you!
I will work with clients from age 5 and older. I have a lot of experience working with teens and parenting issues. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, or stress.
