Hi — I’m Amanda Uliasz and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) currently working with individuals residing in Florida. I graduated from the University of New England in 2017 with a Master of Social Work (MSW); my undergraduate studies were completed in 2013 at Eastern Connecticut State University, also with a major in social work (BSW). I spent my formative years as a clinician working for a non-profit LGBTQ+ agency, providing outpatient mental health services for adults and adolescents. I work with adults seeking LGBTQ+ focused treatment and gender-affirming therapy, various depression/anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and assessment and symptom management of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). I create space for those navigating identity, complex emotions, and personal growth.
The initial intake session consists of the biopsychosocial assessment — this clinical evaluation considers the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to the individual you are today. I will then assist and collaborate with you to establish goals and a personalized treatment plan based on your input and individual needs. This is a great time for me to get to know you before we dive into the work!
I place an emphasis on fostering a safe space for my clients within a comforting setting. I implement a humoristic twist and focus on building positive client rapport based on authentic human connection. I take pride in the fact that I implement a client-centered treatment approach and believe each individual is the expert of their own life.

Integrative
I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach; meaning I select techniques from different therapeutic orientations best suited for each individual.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a goal-oriented type of psychotherapy that identifies unhelpful thinking patterns and replaces these distorted thoughts by modifying behaviors and replacing unhelpful ideas with constructive perspectives and inevitably improves overall emotional state.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT is an action-oriented form of psychotherapy that prompts the individual to acknowledge their relationship with their thoughts and teaches one to understand feelings instead of changing them. This modality focuses on identifying personal values and adjusting behaviors to reflect those values.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma Informed Care is a proactive approach that intentionally acknowledges that trauma is prevalent in the world and seeks to understand the whole individual while avoiding policies and practices that may trigger trauma.
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
ERP is considered to be "the gold-standard treatment for OCD and various anxiety disorders". This form of CBT focuses on the cycle of obsessions and compulsions and deliberately and safely prompts the individual to face their obsessions and make the conscious decision to avoid compulsive rituals that have previously been used to cope with the triggered anxiety.
