LCSW, 7 years of experience
Hi — I’m Amanda Uliasz and I am a licensed clinical social worker currently practicing with individuals residing in Florida. I graduated from the University of New England in 2017 with a Master of Social Work and my undergraduate studies were completed in 2013 at Eastern Connecticut State University, also with a specific focus/major on social work. I spent my formative years as a clinician working for a non-profit LGBTQ+ agency, providing outpatient mental health services for adults and adolescents. I specialize in LGBTQ+ affirming therapy; I am a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH). I have extensive experience in assessment/treatment to assist with management of ADHD symptoms. I also treat anxiety disorders, with a focus on obsessive-compulsive disorder.
The initial intake session consists of the biopsychosocial assessment — this clinical evaluation considers the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to the individual you are today. I will then assist and collaborate with you to establish goals and a personalized treatment plan based on your input and individual needs. This is a great time for me to get to know you before we dive into the work!
I place an emphasis on fostering a safe space for my clients within a relaxing setting. I implement a humoristic twist and focus on building positive client rapport based on authentic human connection. I take pride in the fact that I implement a client-centered treatment approach and believe each individual is the expert of their own life.
I work with adults/adolescents seeking psychotherapy in a Telehealth environment.
I utilize an integrative therapeutic approach; meaning I select techniques from different therapeutic orientations best suited for each individual.

Even though we weren’t the right fit, she was kind, attentive, and easy to talk to. I appreciated her calm presence and professionalism.

Amanda is a wonderful therapist. I have seen her for 4 sessions now and I always look forward to it. I feel like I am heard and cared about. She remembers details from previous appointments and remembers to follow up on things. She asks great, relevant questions to make me think and always provides additional resources to help me.
