(she/her)
As a psychotherapist my goal is to show up empathically and authentically while provide a nonjudgemental safe space for clients to express themselves. By building a strong therapeutic alliance and using a strength based approach, I help my clients achieve their goals and overcome challenges and obstacles standing in their way. I believe in bite-size progress to help motivate us to make bigger changes over time.
The therapeutic relationship is most important to me. I want to make sure that clients feel like I am good fit for them. The first session is all about building a strong foundation to help clients feel safe and supported. I join with clients in helping them set and achieve their goals around symptom reduction, increased self-esteem and confidence, and overall social and emotional growth. I know progress is not linear and I work with clients through that path to wellness.
I like to think that my biggest strength is meeting clients where they are and building a strong therapeutic alliance. I integrate into my work my formal education and my extensive experience working in various treatment settings with children, adolescents and adults. I use a solution focused approach combined with cognitive behavioral skills in my practice. I tailor my sessions to each individual client as everyone may need something different.
Although I have experience across the lifespan (ages 5-75), I feel most confident in working with clients around life transitions. This could include the transition from high school to post high school, or college to post college, or work force to post work force/retirement. Navigating those transitions can come with many mixed emotions we are sometimes not prepared to encounter. I join with the client in giving them a safe space to process those feelings and learn skills to feel more confident in those transitions.

I identify as
Integrative
Although I may pull from many different evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, solution focused therapy and client centered therapy, I don't consider myself a specialist in any one area as i think therapy should be tailored to the individual.
