I am compassionate, loving, and a down to earth therapist that has over 12 years of mental health experience in various different settings. Growing up as an army brat, I have traveled the majority of my life, and continue to see the benefits of living in multiple different cultures. As I continue to expand my experience, and knowledge within the mental health field, I find great joy in sharing that knowledge to help other's grow. My primary approach is centered in cognitive behavioral therapy, while also heavily leaning on choice therapy modalities. When receiving services my goal will always be to cater my modalities to the needs of the person.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Psycho-education is undervalued in my humble opinion, and is something that will always be provided within session to help with answering the question of why certain emotions can be so debilitating at times. Empowerment, self-esteem builders, and grounding techniques are common strategies encouraged weekly. Anything encouraged will be based upon the client’s worldview, and discussed as a possible activity that they are comfortable with.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Unconditional positive regard for my client. Using the client's world-view and keeping a distinct focus on positive change from their perspective goals. Helping people relate their personal difficulties, to their personal strengths.

VirtualMy treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT has been a treatment modality that I have used for the past 10 years. Helping people feel empowered, opposed to weighed down by intrusive thoughts, is my personal goal for individuals. This can often be achieved with the principles of CBT.
Reality Therapy
Reality/Choice therapy puts a distinct focus on how the daily choices we make impact our goals, and mindset. This simply aligns with the worldview that we as people often have to deal with, which therefore seems to be an important way of helping people understand their own difficulties. With the combination of treatment interventions from cognitive behavioral therapy, and reality therapy, a great deal of personal success can be accomplished. The overall hope is to teach people on how to utilize these principles on a daily basis to help them make goal oriented choices on a regular basis.
