Marah Osias

LCSW (she/her)3 years of experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions. My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, and rooted in respect for each person’s unique experiences and strengths. I strive to meet clients where they are and work alongside them to build insight, develop healthier coping strategies, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. My goal is to help clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they work toward meaningful and lasting personal growth.

First session

In our first session, clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where we can begin getting to know one another. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you may have. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin working together toward meaningful change.

Strengths

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my commitment to creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to be themselves. I take a client-centered approach and integrate evidence-based methods such as CBT and strengths-based therapy to help clients build insight, develop coping skills, and work toward meaningful and lasting change. I focus on meeting clients where they are and empowering them to grow at their own pace.

Ideal clients

I am best positioned to work with individuals who are seeking support for concerns such as anxiety, stress, life transitions, and challenges related to relationships or self-esteem. I work well with clients who are open to self-exploration and interested in developing healthier coping skills and greater self-understanding. Together, we focus on building practical tools, increasing insight, and supporting clients as they work toward meaningful personal growth and emotional well-being.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In practice, I support clients in identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and developing healthier ways of thinking and coping. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and tailored to each client’s unique needs.

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build on their existing abilities, resilience, and personal resources. In my practice, I focus on empowering clients by highlighting their strengths and supporting them in using those strengths to navigate challenges and work toward their goals.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use a person-centered approach to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship and supporting clients as they explore their thoughts and feelings, helping them move toward growth and self-understanding.
