Hello! I'm a licensed therapist based in Michigan. I received my Masters from Eastern Michigan University in 2004 and have been practicing since then. Prior to that, I worked as a social worker since 1995. I very much love what I do, helping people learn how to help themselves. I have a rich experience across the board, working in homes, community settings, hospital settings, office and on the streets with the homeless. I am skilled in treating a wide variety of mental health and substance abuse issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and what you hope to get help with. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have a wide and vast experience, working with all types of mental health issues, such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, personality disorders, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, suicidal, substance misuse, etc. The list is long. I have been trained in multiple evidence based practices, including trauma (TF-CBT), Borderline Personality Disorder, Motivational Interviewing, etc.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I will work with you on identifying negative or inaccurate thought patterns, symptoms from current or past trauma (depression, anxiety, poor sleep patterns, inability to manage emotions effectively, etc.), ways to overcome that and deal more effectively with challenging situations or thoughts.

Trauma Informed Care

Many people have experienced trauma at some point in their lives, which may be negatively affecting their lives in the present and causing a variety of symptoms. We will work together on understanding your life experiences, how that affects your life today and how to better deal with symptoms related to trauma.
