LMFT, 30 years of experience
I am Abigail González, a bilingual-bicultural Marriage and Family Therapist with over 30 years of experience in helping individuals and families find balance and healing in their lives. My journey to become a therapist began with a deep desire to understand the complexities of human emotions and relationships. Growing up, I was always drawn to helping those around me navigate their challenges, whether it was a friend needing support or a family member going through a tough time. I quickly realized that my passion was not just in offering a listening ear but in truly helping people find lasting solutions to their struggles. As I pursued my formal education in Marriage and Family Therapy, I was fascinated by the various approaches to healing. While traditional therapy methods provided a solid foundation, I felt called to explore holistic and alternative modalities that could complement emotional and psychological healing. This led me to train in Reiki, biofield tuning, and hypnotherapy, discovering firsthand the profound impact these practices had on emotional balance and overall well-being. Integrating these practices into my work has allowed me to offer my clients a more comprehensive path to healing. The more I learned, the more I realized that true wellness goes beyond just talk therapy. It’s about aligning the mind, body, and energy to help individuals and families experience transformation on all levels. I learned that the most effective healing begins when we honor the entirety of a person’s experience—emotional, physical, and spiritual. Today, I am grateful to help others explore their deepest challenges and work toward achieving a balanced, fulfilling life. My journey to becoming a therapist was not just about gaining knowledge; it was about aligning my passion with a purpose to help others heal in the most meaningful way possible.
