Welcome! My name is Katheryn Matthews, LCSW. I am a graduate of Loma Linda University, licensed clinical therapist and professional counselor. Having more than 20-years of experience, I offer total health psycho-therapy from the body, mind, and spirit (bio-psycho-social-spiritual) wholeness perspective through evidence based practice. I utilize various psychotherapy modalities, methods and techniques to help individuals, couples and families find the peace of mind they are seeking in a confidential, non-judgmental and accepting environment. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will allow us to get acquainted and include your history, and identify your need. We will spend about 45 minutes together +/-.

I am client centered and solution based in my approach to problems to help you find relief. I will work very hard for you. I promise never to work harder than you.

Christian Counseling

20 years experience Christian Counseling. Practice includes Biblical-based counseling as it relates to rational emotive spiritual therapy and relevant professional modalities. Offered in response to individuals who request professional modalities in relationship to Biblical principals.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

20 years experience with CBT. Assisting clients to understand how cognitive processing determines behavior. Utilized in practice for positive change which begins with understanding emotions that influence thinking governing behavior.

Couples Counseling

20 years experience with Couples Counseling . Helping spouses/partners to communicate and to practice mutual respect and regain loving relationships.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

20 years of culturally sensitive therapy. Practice considers the unique aspects of specific, multi, and blended culture nuances. Identifying and exploring the role of culture, in perspectives, interactions and overall relationships.

Grief Therapy

20 years experience. Helping clients to understand the gambit of emotions attached to grief beyond mourning and bereavement. Practice walks with clients through the permanency of loss from death and assists with the journey to acceptance.
