I believe we all have the strength within us to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. I am here to help you develop confidence and skills to better manage your negative thinking patterns, distressing emotions and destructive behaviors. I provide compassionate, solution-focused therapy to help you navigate life's hurdles with confidence. I approach therapy with a willingness to truly understand who you are and what you value. It's important to me to know different aspects of who you are and what you have been through so that we can find solutions and meaning in your life.
During our first session, my goal is to begin to get to know you, ensure you are comfortable and set a focus or goal of therapy. I will explain my therapy approach, what therapy looks like and answer any questions you have about the process. I would ask questions about what brings you to therapy and what you're hoping to get from therapy. Then we would slowly begin to talk about what you're going through. I'll ask questions about various areas of life, including relationships, job, living situation and your life journey.
My greatest strength is noticing your strengths. I fully listen to you and who you are with compassion, it's important to me that you feel seen and heard. I also help you find solutions and give you tools to embrace and build upon your authentic self.
I'm here to help you make sense of where you are at in your life and move through in a healthy way. How did you get here? How have you made it this far? What's going well in your life? I help clients who are struggling with difficult emotions, unsure of how to cope in a healthy way, turning to substances, addictions or other maladaptive ways of coping. I'm here to help you uncover your authentic self, embrace this person and take control back over your life. I work with clients who struggle with different levels of anxiety, depression, life transitions and addiction. My clients might be going through a divorce and not sure what life looks like now, they might be struggling with loneliness after moving to a new city, a new job has led them to question their self-worth, or maybe noticing you're drinking more at night to escape from the stress of life.
