About me

If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I help adults navigate anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, depression, and trauma, creating a supportive space where you can feel understood, gain clarity, and begin making meaningful changes. With 22 years of experience, I bring a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe effective therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Our work together is tailored to your unique experiences, strengths, needs, and goals. My work integrates strengths-based, client-centered, and evidence-informed approaches to help clients better understand patterns, develop practical coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and build resilience. I work collaboratively to increase self-awareness, improve emotional well-being, strengthen relationships, and move toward lasting growth. Whether you are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, grief, depression, trauma, or feeling stuck, therapy can offer an opportunity for healing, clarity, and personal growth. My goal is to help clients feel supported while building the confidence and tools needed to move forward with greater balance and fulfillment.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is really about getting to know each other and creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I understand that starting therapy—especially for the first time—can feel intimidating, so there is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We will figure that out together. I will spend time learning about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what feels most difficult right now, and what you would like to be different. We will also talk about your strengths, relationships, experiences, and the goals that are most important to you. You can also ask me questions and get a sense of who I am as a therapist. I believe the relationship between therapist and client matters, and I want you to feel that this is a place where you can be honest without fear of judgment. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel heard, supported, and a little less overwhelmed. You will also leave with a clearer understanding of how we can work together and what the next steps might look like. You do not have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy—sometimes showing up is the first step.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of the greatest strengths I bring to my sessions is the ability to create a space where people feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. I believe building a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for meaningful change. With more than 22 years of clinical experience, I also bring a depth of knowledge that allows me to meet clients where they are while tailoring therapy to their individual needs. I am warm and compassionate, but I am also interactive and practical. I do not believe therapy should simply be a place to talk—I want clients to leave sessions with greater insight, useful tools, and a clearer understanding of how they can move forward. My lived experience is another important strength. It has given me a deeper appreciation for how vulnerable it can feel to ask for help and how important it is to have a therapist who sees the whole person rather than just a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. I also bring authenticity, empathy, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to recognize strengths in people who may have difficulty seeing those strengths in themselves. Ultimately, I want my clients to feel that we are working together and that they have someone in their corner who will support them while also helping them grow and create meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, stuck, or simply unsure of what comes next. They may be navigating depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, major life transitions, or the ongoing pressure of trying to hold everything together while struggling internally. I especially enjoy working with people who are ready for something to change, even if they are not yet sure what that change should look like. You do not need to come to therapy with all the answers or even know exactly what you need. Sometimes simply recognizing that you do not want to continue feeling the way you do is enough of a starting point. My ideal client wants a therapist who is compassionate and nonjudgmental, but also engaged, authentic, and practical. I work best with clients who want more than someone to simply listen—they want to better understand themselves, recognize patterns, develop healthier ways of coping, and build skills they can use outside of therapy. Ultimately, I enjoy working with people who want to feel more like themselves again. My goal is to help clients gain clarity, build confidence and resilience, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful changes that allow them to move forward with a greater sense of hope and purpose.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns of thinking that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck and explore healthier, more balanced ways of responding. My approach to CBT is collaborative and practical. I do not simply tell clients to “think positively.” Instead, I help them become more aware of automatic thoughts, understand where certain patterns may come from, challenge beliefs that are no longer serving them, and develop strategies they can use in everyday life. Depending on your needs, our work may include reframing unhelpful thoughts, developing coping and problem-solving skills, practicing healthier responses to stressful situations, setting achievable goals, and gradually changing behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. I integrate CBT with a strengths-based, client-centered approach, which means therapy is tailored to you rather than following a rigid formula. The goal is to help you develop practical tools, greater self-awareness, and healthier patterns that continue to benefit you long after therapy ends.
