New to Grow
I am a compassionate mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals, children, and families. I began my counseling journey through crisis hotline work and community-based advocacy, experiences that shaped my commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces for healing. My professional background includes crisis intervention, residential treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient care. I have experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and family and relationship concerns. I am especially passionate about working with children ages 8 and older, helping them develop emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and build resilience in ways that are developmentally appropriate and supportive.
My approach to therapy is rooted in a person-centered and multicultural framework. In our first session, I strive to create a welcoming, respectful, and collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood, and valued. I recognize that each person's experiences, identities, cultural background, and life story shape how they view themselves and the world around them. I bring curiosity, empathy, cultural humility, and a commitment to understanding your unique perspective without judgment. Together, we will explore your goals, strengths, challenges, and the factors that have influenced your experiences, while building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. My goal is to support you in identifying meaningful pathways toward growth, healing, and well-being that align with your values and lived experiences.
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is my commitment to integrating person-centered principles with a multicultural perspective. I believe that each client is the expert on their own life, and I strive to create a therapeutic relationship built on authenticity, empathy, respect, and collaboration. At the same time, I recognize that our identities, cultures, family systems, communities, and lived experiences shape how we understand ourselves and navigate challenges. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I take time to understand the unique cultural, social, and personal factors that influence each client's experience. By honoring the whole person and creating an inclusive space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued, I help individuals and families explore their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful change that aligns with their values and goals.
My ideal clients are individuals who are motivated to better understand themselves and create meaningful change in their lives. They may be experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, low self-esteem, or a sense of feeling stuck. They value a collaborative therapeutic relationship and are open to exploring their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences from multiple perspectives. As an integrative therapist, I work with clients who appreciate a personalized approach, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapeutic methods tailored to their unique needs, strengths, goals, and circumstances. Together, we focus on fostering self-awareness, resilience, emotional well-being, and lasting personal growth. I encourage client to bring their full authentic self to session and work on personal growth and affirmation.

I identify as
Integrative
Instead of adhering to a single rigid framework, an integrative therapist partners with you to view your mind, body, and emotions holistically. By exploring various aspects of your life, the therapist can adjust strategies on the fly. For instance, they might start by using a psychodynamic approach to uncover the root cause of a past trauma, and later incorporate CBT tools to help manage your immediate, day-to-day
