Hi, I’m Tori, a licensed and board-certified professional counselor. I work with individuals who are seeking deeper healing, healthier relationships, and a stronger connection with themselves. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally drained, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Together, we create a space where you can slow down, better understand what you’re experiencing, and begin creating meaningful and lasting change. I especially enjoy supporting clients navigating anxiety, stress, relationship and attachment concerns, trauma and difficult past experiences, burnout, perfectionism, self-esteem challenges, identity exploration, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, yet direct, collaborative, and grounded in genuine connection. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical — a place where you feel safe enough to be honest while building insight, resilience, and healthier patterns.

I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest, explore difficult experiences, and gain meaningful insight and tools that extend beyond the therapy room.

Originally from a small town outside of Nashville, Tennessee, I now call Colorado home. I earned my BA in Applied Psychology from Carson-Newman University and my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern University. I began my career working in higher levels of care with individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges, experiences that continue to shape the depth, compassion, and perspective I bring into my work today. If you’re considering therapy, I’d be honored to support you in the process.

First session

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and understood. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to gain from the process, and any questions or concerns you may have along the way. Starting therapy — whether it’s your first time or you’re meeting with a new therapist — can feel vulnerable and overwhelming. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and together we’ll begin exploring what support and healing can look like in your life.

Strengths

My own experience in therapy allows me to approach this work with deep empathy, humility, and genuine understanding. I know firsthand how vulnerable it can feel to ask for support, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and truly heard. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in authentic connection. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be honest, explore difficult experiences, and gain meaningful insight and tools that extend beyond the therapy room. While my work is deeply rooted in attachment theory, I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches to meet each client’s unique needs, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR).

Ideal clients

I work best with adults and couples who are ready to engage honestly in the therapy process and willing to do the deeper work required for lasting change. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware people who may appear “fine” on the outside while privately struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, burnout, or patterns that no longer serve them. I’m especially well-suited to support clients who: Want more than surface-level coping skills Are open to self-reflection and personal growth Feel stuck in recurring relationship or emotional patterns Struggle with communication, conflict, or emotional intimacy Are navigating life transitions, stress, or identity shifts Want to heal from past experiences while building healthier relationships Value honesty, accountability, and authentic connection in therapy I also work well with couples who are motivated to improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional connection, and better understand one another — even when conversations feel difficult or patterns feel deeply ingrained. My approach tends to resonate with clients looking for a therapist who is compassionate and supportive, while also encouraging meaningful insight, growth, and change.

Treatment methods

Attachment-based

Our relationships shape so much of how we move through the world. Attachment-based therapy helps us understand how past experiences may be influencing current patterns in relationships, emotions, and self-worth. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion while building healthier, more secure ways of connecting with yourself and others.

I've been going to Tori for over 3 years. She is easy to talk to, relatable and has a super sharp memory because she has remembered things that I've forgotten I've told her. I love having someone in my life who knows me that well, and it is especially comforting to know that my therapist does.
