Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I am a Native Texan and began my studies at The University of Texas at Arlington, where I earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree. I continued to pursue higher education in the profession, earning a Master of Social Work degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and a Doctoral degree from Capella University. My experience includes over 10 years of working with adolescents & adults in various settings.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I understand that emotional responses to problems and disappointments are a normal part of life, and learning how to navigate your emotional responses to life’s challenges is an integral part of self-sufficiency. Research has proven that there is not a one-fits-all approach to therapy, so I tailor my approaches based on the individual needs of each client. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I started this psychological journey as a poverty-stricken youth and teenage mother. So, I personally understand the struggle in making the decision to seek help with navigating stressful situations. My life experiences influenced my decision to earn a doctoral degree, which has helped mold my career. My mission as a licensed therapist is to help others understand that life is what we CHOOSE it to be.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My ideal client seeks self-exploration and understanding while trying to navigate life transitions. These individuals have tried to solve the problems in their lives on their own, but realized they couldn't navigate the situation alone. Life transitions are periods of transformation in our lives that mark the beginning of something new. Whether it's the start of a new job, transitioning into high school, a move to a different city, or a major life event such as a marriage, divorce, or the birth of a child, life transitions can be exciting and overwhelming all at once. With therapy, you can find the tools to navigate your life transitions in a healthy way.
