New to Grow
I graduated from George Mason University's Master of Social Work program in 2022 and began my journey toward my clinical licensure soon after, which I received in February of 2026. I have been working with clients ages 9+ in the mental health field for 3 years. I work with clients from a wide variety of backgrounds, and enjoy using humor and personal experience to create rapport and build trust.
My number one priority during an initial session is building rapport, and gaining trust. I like to ask questions about every aspect of a client's life in order to gain a holistic understanding of the challenges they are facing. I will ask questions relating to goals of treatment, what has and hasn't worked in the past, and preferences for our work together.
I'm very open-minded; I try to adjust my interaction style to what I feel the clients need in the moment.
I often work with clients who are going through life transitions, are managing everyday stress and anxiety, and those who are experiencing mild to moderate depression. I also work with clients who have experienced traumatic events and are having difficulty moving forward. My clients are ready and eager to make changes, and are not afraid to put in the hard work.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize negative thought patterns and cognitive distortions that are impacting mood and mental health. After recognizing these patterns I help clients to reevaluate them by looking at them through a lens of what can and cannot be controlled.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing techniques when clients are feeling ambivalent about their next life steps. I help them to prioritize their goals and empower them to make decisions.
EMDR
I use EMDR with clients that are encountering barriers to healing due to distressing and/or traumatic experiences. EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation (usually left-to-right eye movement) to desensitize clients to distressing memories and help them to reprocess these memories in a safe and calm environment.
