(she/her)
Do you need rest? Do you long to see yourself before the kid, before the career, before life? Are you stressed and struggling to maintain your sense of identity while balancing all the hats, especially the “mom” hat? I support and encourage women, single mothers, and mothers to overcome guilt and anxiety to fully be who they were created to be. I love to provide empathic understanding and support to enable you to explore what is best for you. I also love to integrate holistic practices (mind, body, and spirit) and Christ-centered values. I will help you explore what is in your heart and implement best-practice therapy models to learn different ways to think, feel and behave. I might even throw in a prayer for free! I’m here to help you overcome anxiety, depression, shame, and guilt associated with betraying your true self. Taking this step to work with a therapist can be scary, but you made it this far and I believe there is more beyond your wildest dreams on the other side of ACTION. I guarantee I will meet you with empathy, compassion, and support to help facilitate YOUR process of becoming fully you. It would be my honor!
You will feel heard. You will experience hope. You will have greater determination to live an over coming life despite obstacles.
Treatment methods and tools consist of an eclectic array of models including evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solutions Focused, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also implement holistic approaches which view the whole person as comprising body, mind, and spirit. So I explore how one treats their body, their relationship with their thoughts and outlets that provide meaning and purpose. Client-centered approaches, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, and other models as needed are employed as well.
My biggest strength is the ability to listen and support you wherever you are in your journey. I believe often we have the answers and hold the key inside but require a listening ear to help us identify it. Our thought-life often determines the quality of life we live so emphasis on cognitive/thought functioning is emphasized, after all, how one thinks determines who they are.
